PART 2: DETAILED POLICY STANCE

10. The Balance of Power: Where do you draw the line between a government's duty to protect public safety and its constitutional obligation to respect the privacy of its citizens? Please explain your overarching political stance on mass surveillance, and justify why you believe your approach aligns with the core principles of a free society.

Mass surveillance is the antithesis of a Free Society. It's a position taken and embraced by those who have evaded accountability in government for so long that they are comfortable prying and snooping on everyone. I want every flock camera torn down, and I will sign an executive order directing law enforcement to stand down if ant civilian tears one down in their own community. The government has done just fine protecting the community before flock cameras and never needed them. And whenever a whistleblower comes forward or an audit is produced, we find out that they have been tracking ex-lovers more than finding criminals anyway. We will do away with them and facial recognition if I am elected Governor of the State of Florida.
